Shri Yamai Devasthan is at Kanhersar in Khed taluka (Rajgurunagar), Pune district. According to the story, Goddess Renuka, following Saint Kanhuraj Maharaj, appeared on the bank of the stream of Kanhersar village and came to dwell here as “Yamai”.

In the Goddess’s own words in the story, Kendur, the village of Kanhuraj Maharaj, is not far from this place.
